Youth and Volunteer Opportunities

We have many opportunities for our community to get involved in serving our community through Clovis Police Department sponsored events. Here are a few youth and volunteer opportunities you can get involved in.

Youth Programs

We know that investing in our city’s youth we can empower them to maximize their personal, scholastic and life potential. Activities like Cops and Kids Camps, Shop With A Cop, and Explorer programs allow kids to engage with our law enforcement personnel in a fun way. By engaging with our youngest citizens, we aim to foster trust, build positive relationships, and create a sense of community.

Citizen Volunteers

Volunteers assist the department and our community in many different ways. Some of these efforts include assistance at community events, youth outreach, citizen patrol shifts, DUI checkpoints, Chaplain services, and in-house clerical support.

Currently, fifteen sworn civilians consider it a privilege to spend nights and weekends serving the citizens of Clovis as Reserve Officers. You often see them at special events like the Rodeo, Big Hat Days and Farmers Market.
